The Adult Basic Education for College & Career (ABECC) Instructor is responsible for the development and implementation of career-contextualized basic skills instruction to prepare adult learners for success in college and career. This position may be responsible for providing career-contextualized instruction in either of two areas:
The duties and responsibilities of the Instructor position place the highest priority on providing outstanding educational opportunities for the community and promoting an effective learning environment for the students of Pima Community College.
The Instructor delivers instruction using a variety of methods and modalities, prepares instructional materials, and integrates technology to support student learning. The Instructor evaluates student progress and revises teaching approaches based on assessment data and learning outcomes. The Instructor also refers students to appropriate testing, advising, and support services, and participates in ongoing professional learning and peer collaboration to improve student outcomes.
Instructors are expected to conduct all duties and responsibilities with integrity and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes and the College and program’s policies, procedures, and regulations. Instructors may have involvement in academic and student disciplinary matters as referenced in the Student Code of Conduct and the Academic Integrity Code.

The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include the ability to work varied schedules that may require evenings and multiple locations
