Sr Enterprise Architect

What You'll Do:

We're looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join our Retirement and Income Solutions architecture team. In this role, you'll help drive digital transformation initiatives for our Annuities and Principal Custody Solutions products through strategic influence with portfolio leaders.

 

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead portfolio architecture strategy through execution, translating business priorities into actionable architecture outcomes that enable transformation and long-term value
  • Define and evolve enterprise architecture standards and frameworks, including principles, patterns, and guidelines that drive consistency, scalability, and strategic alignment
  • Provide architecture leadership and governance, ensuring business capabilities and technology platforms meet current needs while positioning the enterprise for future objectives
  • Partner with business and technology leaders, delivering architecture expertise for initiatives and influencing how architecture is consumed and applied
  • Drive architecture delivery in an Agile environment, contributing to enterprise roadmaps and advancing architecture practices across assigned business areas and domains
  • Advance innovation and the EA practice, advocating for reuse and adaptability, exploring emerging technologies, and—when applicable—leading and developing architecture talent

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of related architecture or technology experience
  • Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
  • Critical thinker, analytical, good at problem-solving and have big picture/conceptual skills

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Financial services industry background, specifically with annuities or custody solutions
  • Cloud certifications
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $127000 - $171000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
