Internship Details

Each of our interns will focus on completing a project designed to provide hands on, career/major relevant project experience that will have an immediate and lasting impact on a real time business need. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to:

Essential Duties

  • Research and writing to prepare FCC filings (e.g., comments, replies, ex parte memoranda, request for declaratory ruling)
  • Collaborate with technology and engineering staff to incorporate technical content
    Review legislation for impact on 9-1-1 availability and reliability, public safety, cybersecurity, U.S. transition to Next Generation 9-1-1
  • Attend meetings with FCC staff, Congressional staff, and industry associations on public safety communications issues
  • Research and writing on state law topics that impact the delivery and routing of calls to 9-1-1
  • Written and oral presentations to Intrado leadership, customers, and government officials on the above
  • Take ownership of your project from start to finish, culminating in a presentation to our executive team on your experiences and accomplishments. 
  • Seek out the chance to learn from our incredible team members. 
  • Create connections and relationships with fellow interns and Intrado team members throughout your project and during our social and volunteer opportunities. 
  • Take a deep dive into our business operations with enthusiasm and curiosity. 
  • Share your ideas for innovation, process improvement. 

Qualifications 

  • Current student pursuing Juris Doctor
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Passion for learning and a strong interest in supporting Intrado’s mission. 
  • Ability to go into our office in Longmont on a hybrid schedule is preferred

The Summer Internship Program will run from May 27 - August 14, 2026. For candidates located in Colorado, this internship is hybrid with three days a week on site and pays $25 per hour. Apply today to join us in work worth doing!
