The Technical Services Department provides essential infrastructure that supports UC Irvine Libraries resources in all formats, including print and electronic resources. Our services include licensing, acquisitions, cataloging and metadata, processing, and repairs. We maintain the UC Irvine catalog and work to ensure resource access and discoverability. Technical Services includes the following five units: Accounting and Print Monograph Acquisitions; Electronic Resources Acquisitions; Catalog Maintenance, Physical Processing & Electronic Resources Cataloging; Physical Resources Cataloging & Metadata; and Serial Acquisitions & Binding/Book Repairs.
Under the direction of the Electronic Resources Acquisitions Librarian, independently applies broad understanding of electronic resources to establish and maintain access ; track and resolve access problems; communicate with vendors, publishers and library staff; maintain electronic resources data in Ex Libris Alma and Primo, and vendor databases; tabulate and report statistics; and perform special project assignments under general supervision. Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $29.62- $31.30 (Hourly).
