JOB SUMMARY
The ANAYLST- APPLICATION- REVENUE CYCLE- EPIC at North Mississippi Health Servicesis responsible for serving as the EPIC revenue cycle systems specialist and overall administrator of application and system functionality including configuration and integration of applications and modules, provision of recommendations on system and functionality improvements, planning for new module implementation, leading related project management, and supporting issue resolution. This role collaborates with operational teams, other IT team members, trainers, and the Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager to achieve optimal Epic revenue cycle system function and use.
JOB
FUNCTIONS
This position requires extensive knowledge of Epic Revenue cycle systems and/or clinic operations. It is the highest level application specialist and assists in the overall administration of the systems functionality.
Responsible for the configuration and build of Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, and other Epic Revenue cycle modules with input from subject matter experts.
Understands the integration of Epic applications and their effects on business process and operations.
Stays abreast of functionality improvements in new versions and testing during upgrades; on an ongoing basis, takes advantage of available resources to improve knowledge and understanding of the system.
Tests new releases and applies specialized knowledge and experience to the process to ensure that version upgrades function smoothly.
Aids in planning for major new modules by assessing the configuration needs and defining processes and tasks, coordinating activities and assigning projects to be done.
Trains and mentors new analysts.
Provides system configuration and new project development, design implementation, workflow optimization, change management, and issue resolution related to the Clinic’s applications.
Attends/Leads meetings to discuss team and project-related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates.
Achieves and maintains certification status in assigned application(s) and working knowledge of other related applications.
Completes project tasks within timeline as assigned by the IT Manager.
Champions the project, provides support in the ongoing implementations, optimizations, and upgrades.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Associate's Degree in related field. Required
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent will consider HS Diploma with 4 years Revenue Cycle experience beyond the minimum requirement. Required

Must have proven ability to organize and lead clinical system project initiatives.
Must have effective organizational and time management skills.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to think both critically and creatively.
Must work closely with the other Epic Analyst and the Epic Trainers to insure the effective development and user utilization of medical information systems.
Must have strong project management skills and have the ability to analyze end user needs and develop plans to meet those needs
Must have the ability to achieve deadlines and demonstrate a strong work ethic
Must project a positive customer oriented image to all system users, vendors, and Management/Leadership
Must be seen as a leader in work community and a “go to” person for Epic requests
