Criminal Defense Attorney
We are seeking an experienced motivated Lawyer to join our legal team to practice criminal defense law.
This is a litigation intensive law firm with client contact and jury trials.
Salary will depend on experience. Bonus incentives are available based on performance.
You will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients, as well as conducting legal research and drafting legal documents. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the law.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and legal precedents
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
- Strong negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills
