Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team and will support a variety of critical physician financial, administrative, and analytical tasks.
Core Duties: (the reason the job exists, essential duties that must be performed for this job)
- Assist with the preparation of the system-wide annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes for the physician group
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and highlighting key areas of improvement.
- Assist with the completion and management of all accounting tasks as part of the monthly close. Perform accounting activities in conjunction with the Finance department to ensure accurate monthly application of revenue and expense.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive financial presentations for senior management, joint venture partners, and board meetings.
- Collaborate with business planning teams to support strategic planning, special projects, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Participate in financial modeling for new business initiatives and pro-forma financial analysis.
- Perform ROI analysis to guide strategic decision-making across various departments.
- Assist with the tracking and processing of physician bonuses/incentive payments and processing of monthly special payments.
- Support the maintenance and updates to finance data within the EPM (Axiom) and Business Intelligence solutions (Tableau).
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment by partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and recommendations.
- Perform statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities across the physician group
- Assist in the development of presentations, including key observations of statistical, financial, and qualitative information.
- Keep abreast of healthcare trends and market development as context for analyses.

Minimum Qualifications: (what is required to be hired into this role)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a financial analysis or finance operations role with fiscal responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting and cost/benefit analysis.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, a skills test may be administered
- A high degree of social facility in obtaining cooperation and support from a broad range of people.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including customer service orientation
- Able to take initiative, including knowledge of resources to answer questions and find required data and information.
