JOB SUMMARY
The Intern-IT Support Specialist at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software.  The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies,   and support to team members. This role offers hands-on experience and learning opportunities in various aspects of IT, including network administration and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues
• Installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer systems, hardware, and software
• Monitors system performance and troubleshoot any issues
• Follows established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
• Supports to team members on the use of computer systems and software
• Performs system backups and maintain accurate records
• Researches and recommend solutions for technical problems
• Contributes to documentation and knowledgebase article library
• Participates in training sessions to improve IT skills and knowledge



QUALIFICATIONS


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent IT major working towards a Associates or Bachelor's Degree. Required

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Good oral and written communication skills and good organizational skills
  • Reviews and evaluates the financial/business process, and recommends, and implements process improvements
  • Possesses the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Interacts daily with the Senior Accountant, department managers,  and clients; therefore, incumbent must possess good communication skills
  • Exhibits ability to effectively communicate with non-financial individuals
