Job Summary:

The Productivity Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and improving workforce productivity across both clinical and non-clinical departments. This role partners with operational leaders to ensure that labor resources are aligned with patient volume, acuity, and quality-of-care standards, while also supporting financial sustainability.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics, labor productivity, workforce management, or financial operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of healthcare operations, staffing models, and productivity concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel. Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze labor productivity metrics, including hours per unit of service, worked versus paid hours, overtime, agency usage, and staffing ratios
  • Monitor labor performance against benchmarks, budgets, and internal targets
  • Develop and maintain productivity dashboards and reports for leadership and department managers
  • Support staffing models that align labor demand with patient volume, acuity, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement related to labor utilization
  • Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, staffing offices, and department leaders to support workforce planning
  • Assist with the optimization and ongoing maintenance of the productivity system
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency while maintaining patient care quality and safety
  • Support productivity education for managers, including report interpretation and best practices

Physical and Environmental Demands

Requires occasional travelling to offsite locations, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, constant sitting, occasional standing, and frequent walking.
