Business Development Representative

Location- Dade City

General Description

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving patient acquisition and retention across Premier Community HealthCare service lines. This role focuses on building and maintaining referral relationships, developing partnerships with community organizations, schools, employers, and healthcare providers, and executing targeted outreach strategies. The position blends relationship management, data-driven outreach, and collaboration with marketing teams to expand access to care and advance Premier’s mission, with particular emphasis on pediatric medical and dental services, family medicine, and behavioral health. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 • Identify, prioritize, and engage potential referral sources, including schools, early learning centers, employers, faith-based organizations, youth-serving agencies, social service providers, and physician offices
 • Contribute to the development and execution of business development plans with quarterly growth goals and measurable patient acquisition targets
 • Maintain and track patient referral pipelines and conversion rates by site and service line
 • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to support outreach campaigns, materials, and community events
 • Partner with internal teams to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new patients and families
 • Represent Premier at community events, employer wellness fairs, chamber meetings, and collaborative networks
 • Present Premier’s services through site tours, presentations, and sponsorship opportunities
 • Serve as liaison for partnership agreements, referral tracking, and outcome reporting
 • Support cross-county outreach efforts in Pasco and Hernando counties, focusing on underserved and high-growth populations
 • Track outreach activities and patient acquisition outcomes using CRM and reporting tools
 • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including referral conversion rates, new patient volumes, and event-generated leads
 • Prepare and submit monthly reports summarizing outcomes, trends, and growth recommendations
 • Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
 • Communicate issues that may impact patient flow to care team members
 • Support community give-back initiatives and advocate for Premier’s mission
 • Adhere to Premier’s core values to deliver a best-in-class patient experience
 • Participate in departmental goals and Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA) activities
 • Perform other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 • Experience in community or healthcare business development, marketing, or sales
 • Strong relationship-building skills with community leaders, referral partners, and providers
 • Effective presentation, public speaking, and communication skills
 • Proficiency with CRM systems, data tracking, and Microsoft Office applications
 • Understanding of social determinants of health and community outreach principles
 • Professional demeanor with a positive, collaborative attitude
 • High ethical standards and strong work ethic
 • Excellent customer service skills with empathy and compassion
 • Strong verbal and written communication skills
 • Excellent grammar, spelling, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

 • Bachelor’s degree or five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant work experience as determined by Human Resources
 • Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or healthcare setting preferred
 • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation required
 • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
 • Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and annual compliance training 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

 • Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 30–50 lbs. occasionally
 • Ability to sit for extended periods
 • Direct exposure to computer screens
 • Possible exposure to contagious or infectious diseases
 • Ability to travel across Pasco and Hernando counties for outreach, site visits, and partner meetings
