*Appalachian Mountain Health ("AMH")*, a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant to join our exceptional clinical team in delivering quality-focused primary care services for patients at our Robbinsville, NC office.
AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations, at six locations throughout Western North Carolina.
Our NP/PAs work closely with physicians, other advanced practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care.
Required qualifications include:
* Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution.
* Current North Carolina PA-C or NP license.
* Board certification.
* CPR certification.
* Prefer 2+ years of practice experience with an adult population in a public health setting, preferably in a rural or under-served area, but new grads will be considered.
* Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently.
* High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve AMH's mission.
