Shift: Day shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM– 3:00PM, with alternating weekends (two weekdays off when working a weekend)
Requirements:
- Current active license in Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR, First Aid, and BLS.
- Experience in adolescent, psychiatric, and/or case management nursing required.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) strongly preferred
- Technologically competent and familiar with electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent social, organizational, and communication skills required.
- Ability to apply professional knowledge to exercise independent judgement and discretion
Responsibilities
- Performs clinical assessments for the identification, evaluation, coordination and management of member’s needs, including physical and behavioral health, social services and long-term services
- Identifies members for high-risk complications and coordinates care in conjunction with the member and health care team
- Performs assigned waived testing in the laboratory to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Receives specimens and stocks supplies when received in the department. Troubleshoots/resolves instrument problems and document corrective actions in appropriate log and when necessary. Assures that quality control is properly performed and logged and follow proper department procedure for corrective action. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to train new employees.
- Draws blood and administers injections as needed
- Rotates weekends and participates in on-call duties as defined by the on-call policy
- Collaborates with nurse manager to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by attending required/mandatory meetings.
