Overview:
The Cost Accounting Specialist is responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, investment analysis, OPEX budget management, month-end close.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Assist with month-end close and financial reports
- Manage and assist budgets for all departments
- Assist managers with yearly/long-term business planning
- Monitor intercompany transactions and perform reconciliation as needed
- Handle Warranty Allowance
- Prepare quarterly inventory valuation
- Assist external auditors with quarterly and annual audits by providing requested information
- Product Life Cycle profitability management for new models
- Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
- Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
- Overtime and weekend work as required
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- At least 1 year of experience in Finance or Accounting field
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
- Ability to organize and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to research, evaluate, and resolve problems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Manufacturing costing experience
- SAP experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
