Position: Family Physician
Compensation: $200,000 – $233,000 + $15k sign on bonus
Overview:
The Family Physician provides comprehensive patient care across assigned clinical sites. Responsibilities include maintaining an active clinical practice, ensuring high-quality patient care, meeting productivity goals, supporting regulatory compliance, and participating in teaching and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice:
Provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Apply sound clinical judgment and appropriate use of consults
Stay current with medical literature and best practices
Respond to patient communications, including patient portal requests
Participate in peer review and quality improvement projects
Teaching & Training:
Precept residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees as appropriate
Participate in residency faculty or program meetings
Organizational & Managerial:
Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and reliable attendance
Manage time and resources effectively
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and teamwork
Participate in performance improvement activities
Follow organizational policies and procedures
Professional Development:
Meet regulatory, licensure, and annual health requirements
Identify learning needs and utilize resources for professional growth
Participate in development of other staff members
Communication & Relationships:
Maintain professional, courteous, and respectful interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and community members
Handle phone and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program in Family Medicine
NY State Medical License
Board-eligible or board-certified in Family Medicine
Current BCLS certification
Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based practice
Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
