Hours: 9:00am -5:0pm, Monday - Friday

Location: Fayetteville, GA 30214,  Hybrid, 2 days in office

Rate: $17 –  $20 per hour, depending on qualifications

Summary:

Our esteemed law office is currently seeking a Legal Assistant in Family Law to support our clients and staff. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to manage a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You must have excellent interpersonal skills. Be efficient in Microsoft Suite; answer incoming calls; maintain client relations and records.  You will demonstrate ambition and compassion while remaining clear-minded, pleasant and focused on the needs around you.

What you will do:

• As a Legal Assistant in Family Law, you will provide support to Attorneys & Paralegals
• Provide document support - Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, format and content.
• Assist with scheduling hearings, depositions and e-filing
• Provide excellent client support. maintain client files, schedule meetings, answering questions, and forwarding concerns
• Process mail, answer phone calls and routine questions.
• Work independently and in a team
• Perform administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks
• Scheduling appointments and support attorneys’ calendars.

What you will need:

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in  family law is  required
• Probate experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn other programs
• Experience in Adobe, Peach Court, and My Case
• Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
• Attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills
• Client service-oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Be self-motivated with a positive attitude
• High School diploma from an accredited institution, AS degree is preferred
