Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Buyer where your expertise in supply chain management and procurement will drive efficiency and innovation in a fast-paced food industry environment. Weâre looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to oversee material replenishment, supplier relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage replenishment of materials and coordinate truck builds from various supplier locations, monitoring lead times, order quantities, storage needs, and shelf life as applicable.
  • Optimize order quantities to balance demand with available warehouse space and financial resources.
  • Oversee reverse logistics in collaboration with cross-functional partners to resolve material issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with volume, pricing, delivery terms, and accurate freight costs.
  • Handle crisis management with strong multitasking skills to address production material challenges.
  • Lead Supplier Business Reviews to foster improvement and strengthen supplier performance.
  • Contribute to strategic sourcing by providing insights, collecting documentation, and partnering with the Sourcing team on regulatory, sample, and financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners, particularly Plant Personnel, to enhance value across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâs degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on collaborating with Plant Personnel and other business partners.
  • Experience managing supplier performance and driving continuous improvement, ideally in a manufacturing or food industry context.
  • Ability to mentor and coach Buyers and Purchasing Coordinators effectively.
  • Proficiency in Syspro or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Food industry purchasing experience is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to work 100% on-site in Marlborough, MA.
