Job Summary:

Our AR / Staff Accountant will successfully maintain all Accts Receivables, vendor payments and provide analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related projects, prepare/analyze management reports by working closely with our Sales, Customer Service & Production teams. In addition, this individual will play an active role in month end closing procedures supporting the Finance team in ensuring a timely and accurate close.

Summary of essential job functions:

• In a proactive manner keep all accounts receivable accounts in good standing.

• Efficient maintenance and processing of all AR transactions including invoicing, credits, and payment application. Respond to customer inquiries as needed.
• Review new customer applications and determine credit worthiness. Propose proper credit limits and obtain approvals.
• Manage collection efforts including but not limited to customer contact, working with sales staff, senior management and attorneys when needed.
• Produce accurate monthly AR Reports and customer statements timely.
• Lead the monthly AR committee meeting.
• Analyze trends in bad debts and recommend improvements to AR policies and procedures.
• Participate in the NACM quarterly meetings.

• Provide analytical support for forecasts and trends in production, sales, general business conditions and other related areas.
• Work with the CFO to create, maintain, and analyze Power BI Dashboards & Reports such as sales, labor, capacity planning and AR aging reports to continuously improve consistent reporting and tracking tools.
• Coordinate annual summit meetings at the close of each season to review product line profitability, strengths & weaknesses as well as customer performance.
• Support Accounting month end closing process.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Business, Finance or Equivalent, plus three years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced - Superior user of Excel and Power BI.
• Mandatory to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Must be self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Manufacturing aptitude
• Ability to multi-task and handle varied deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must tolerate exposure to greenhouse elements such as heat, cold, water and dirt.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs. and able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
