Position Summary

 The Operations - Finance Intern will provide assistance to the Operations Department with various recurring tasks as well as special projects. 

Primary Accountabilities
 

• Support Workday go-live activities to ensure smooth implementation and transition.
• Assist with utility and solar reporting, contributing to data collection and analysis for related projects.
• Assist with the fee refund reduction project.
• Assist management in preparing financial reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Review various data sets and generate reports to support decision-making.
• Analyze spending trends and provide insights to improve financial efficiency.
• Support in assessing financial data and reporting key findings.
• Assist with ad hoc projects related to financial operations and reporting.
• Update procurement spend and contract review data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for analysis and reporting.
• Contribute to other ad hoc projects as needed, supporting various initiatives across departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• The internship will run for Summer of 2025 beginning mid-May and ending early-August.
• Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Must reside local to Effingham, IL and report to the Effingham Corporate office.
• Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Accounting, Finance or other related field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
• Detail oriented.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Eager to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and effectively work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
• Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.

Compensation details: 15-15 Hourly Wage
