The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Benefits and Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for compliance and credentialing? As a Records and Credentialing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring provider credentialing compliance, and upholding regulatory standards. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this position is responsible for processing records requests, managing provider credentialing, and, when assigned, acting as an Adult Abuse Investigator.

What You’ll Do:

Records Management

  • Monitor and process incoming records requests in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Review, file, and facilitate medical information requests while ensuring proper authorization.
  • Provide guidance to staff on HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and medical record documentation standards.

Credentialing & Compliance

  • Oversee and track provider credentials and licenses, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Facilitate initial credentialing and insurance paneling for licensed providers.
  • Develop and refine internal credentialing processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of credentials, licenses, and regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as the key liaison with insurance companies and accrediting bodies.

Adult Abuse Investigation (When Assigned)

  • Conduct investigations into reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation involving vulnerable adults.
  • Assess protective service needs and review medical, behavioral, and financial records.
  • Collaborate with Klamath County Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), law enforcement, healthcare providers, and human services organizations to enhance protective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and legal requirements in all investigations.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Certification in Provider Credentialing and/or Medical Office Administration.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance – Understanding of Oregon Administrative Rules, HIPAA, and credentialing requirements for Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment Services.
  • Strong organizational skills – Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous records.
  • Exceptional communication – Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Oregon driver’s license & insurable driving record.
  • Personal automobile insurance if transporting clients or conducting agency business using a personal vehicle.
