Position Summary:
As a Junior Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations and account functions of the organization, and assisting in financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and compliance activities under the guidance of the Controller. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and contribute to the overall financial health and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development, monitoring, and management of the company's budgets, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Financial Forecasting: Assist in financial forecasting and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Cost Efficiency: Collaborate with teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to enhance cost-efficiency.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with auditing and regulatory requirements. Material Master item creation and maintenance, costing items within SAP.
- Month-End and Year-End Processes: Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Financial Reports: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures, staying updated on changes in financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional Experience: Six months to one year of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with SAP and ERP systems.
