Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing the business insurance and related relationships, and other related tasks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial activities and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Overall owner of the accuracy and validation of the company's financial records.
- Assist with review and transacting of bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis.
- Assist with review and transacting of location payroll expenses.
- Manage and own importing daily sales transmittals from the POS system.
- Own and manage the company's business insurance administration, including transacting of expenses and reconciliation of accruals, etc.
- Drive month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals, reconciling accounts, and generating reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as aging reports and cash flow analysis.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience and aptitude in general accounting roles (2-3 years minimum).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in multi-unit businesses and industries.
- Intermediate to expert level proficiency utilizing accounting software and MS Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
- Prior finance/accounting experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is highly desired.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred and/or minimum 2-3 years direct experience in the role or related roles.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and working.
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
