The Senior Accountant reports into the Accounting Manager and will be a crucial part of the Accounting team, responsible for a broad range of accounting and finance related functions. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, analytical, customer service minded, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This exciting new role will allow the selected candidate to play a crucial part in developing and improving our accounting practices as well as providing financial data to support FP&A initiatives.
â On-site 5 days a week for the first 90 days then 1- WFH day

Qualifications:
â Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
â 5+ years of experience working in Accounting Dept.
â Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
â Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
â Strong analytical skills and ability to provide, analysis and summaries of high volume of data
â Proficient with spreadsheets ( VLOOKUP?s, Pivot tables)

Responsibilities:
o Support the Accounting Manager with month-end activities, including preparation of journal entries, GL account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
o Responsible for maintaining daily and weekly flash reporting
o Maintain Sales tax reconciliations and filings
o Work with Account Manager & CFO to provide data analysis regarding Gross Profit, sales by customer/branch, operating expenses, budget variances, and inventory movement, etc.
o Help prepare supporting schedules for the monthly reporting package
o Serves as backup for accounts receivable and cross train in other accounting areas.
o Assist in resolving various problems related to Purchase Orders (POs) and invoice discrepancies as needed
o Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary information and documents to perform annual audit.
o Provide general support for the Accounting Department and undertake other tasks as needed.
