Job Description
A growing client is seeking a Tax Leader with 10+ years of experience to oversee all matters related to tax, compliance, audit, and tax saving strategies. This individual will lead a small team.Â
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee all tax compliance and planning for the Company and affiliates
* Prepare timely and accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for retail, real estate operations, and affiliated entities
* Oversee monthly sales/use, tangible personal property, and real estate tax returns for all locations and entities
* Analyze tax codes to optimize tax strategies and deductions
* Collaborate with leadership to establish effective tax policies and procedures
* Research complex tax issues and legal changes
* Clearly communicate interpretations, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership
* Manage interactions with tax agencies
* Continuously evaluate and improve tax procedures
* Provide leadership and mentorship to the tax team
Requirements include:
* 10+ years of experience in a senior tax role
* Strong track record with pass-through entities and complex tax matters
* 5+ years of direct supervisory experience leading and developing a tax team
* Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
* Certified Public Accountant and/or Master of Science in Tax
