*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing weekly payroll, employee benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to our staff. This position requires a strong understanding of financial software and corporate accounting practices, along with excellent analytical skills.
*Duties*
* Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
* Analyze benefit plan options and recommend changes to enhance employee satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment and changes.
* Process FMLA and Short-Term disability paperwork.
* Audit benefit billing statements for errors and accuracy.
* Assist in accounts payable processes related to benefit providers.
* Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in benefit-related transactions.
* Utilize HR Software and software for data entry and reporting.
* Collaborate with carriers and brokers to ensure timely processing of benefits deductions.
* Provide support during open enrollment periods by educating employees about their options.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and resolve any issues that arise.
*Requirements*
* Proficiency in HRIS, payroll software, and benefit carriers websites.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
* Experience in corporate accounting or accounts payable is preferred.
* Familiarity with payroll processes and account reconciliation practices.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar administrative role is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
