Job Description
Century Group is in search of an experienced GL Staff Accountant to join a team in the Cherry Creek area of Denver. Qualified candidates with 3+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $55,000 to $70,000 per year.
Job Summary:
Assist the senior accountant and other team members with various accounting functions
Handle monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Generate recurring and adjusting journal entries as needed
Play an active role in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in alignment with the closing timeline
Produce monthly and quarterly variance analyses for assigned business units
Oversee the management of fixed assets and corresponding depreciation schedules
Collaborate with colleagues, clients, leadership, and divisional teams to provide insights for effective decision-making
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent organizational skills
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Comfortable communicating with professionals across all organizational levels
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
Flexible and able to manage shifting priorities effectively
