Accountant
Location: Miami, FL, USA (Remote but must be within driving distance for potential onsite work)
Schedule: Full-time, First Shift (Core hours: 8 AM - 5 PM)
Contract Type: Temporary (47 weeks, 3 days - 1 year)
Pay Rate: $67K - $80K
Description:
Join a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in government accounting. As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining a robust cost accounting structure. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct accounts receivable collections, including customer interactions and dispute resolutions.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer statements, invoices, and account maintenance.
Research, prepare, and reconcile data for financial statements and reports.
Analyze directives, policies, and regulatory requirements to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Support the development and deployment of accounting tools and processes.
Collaborate within a strategic team of one lead and three customer account managers to maintain high-quality service standards.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 3–5+ years in accounting roles with a focus on accounts receivable or government accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and basic computer skills.
Strong soft skills, including adaptability in diverse team environments and excellent communication abilities.
Familiarity with financial regulations and cost accounting structures is a plus.
Interview Process:
A two-round process involving:
First-round onsite interview.
Second-round, either in-person or remote based on scheduling needs.
Additional Information:
