Salary Range: $60K - $65K

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a proactive attitude, ready to contribute to key areas such as reconciliations, general ledger management, and client relations.
As an Accounting Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, ensuring smooth operational workflows, and supporting client relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Process and managetransactions accurately and promptly, ensuring all financial records are updated.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify accountbalances, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts,prepare journal entries, and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with policiesand maintaining precise employee records.
Client Relations Management: Serve as a liaison with clients to address billinginquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive client relationships.
Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, perform variance analysis, andprovide insights to support management decisions.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, andother financial planning documents.
Audit Preparation: Provide support during audits by organizing documentation and responding to audit requests.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement efficiency improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
2 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience or internships in a similar role.
Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
