We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented *Part Time* *Accounting Specialist *(approx. 20 hours/week) to work with our team in the Morehead City, NC office. In this role, you’ll contribute to our financial strategy, enhance internal controls, and play a pivotal role in our company's success. The idealcandidate will have experience in multi-company accounting.

*Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities*
* Ensure financial accuracy in balances, expense allocations, invoice entries, and journal postings.
* Reconcile due-to/from accounts across multiple entities.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
* Enhance accounting controls by recommending and implementing policies.
* Oversee vendor setup, management, and insurance compliance.
*Qualifications include:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting preferred.
* 1–2 years in accounting or bookkeeping.
* Multi-company accounting experience is highly preferred.
* Commercial real estate or property management experience is a plus.
* Proficiency in QuickBooks.
* Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
* Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
