Position Summary:
The Reporting Specialist is responsible for conducting research for loans, identifying errors, and making the necessary corrections needed. Additional responsibilities to include assisting with balancing the ledger entries, reviewing reports daily, quoting loan payoffs and preparing reports. The Reporting Specialist also assists the Reporting Supervisor with SBA reporting and settlement process which includes producing settlement reports, balancing sale transactions, and adhering to the remittance schedules identified in the participation agreements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review general ledger entries daily and clear transactions timely.
Prepare SBA monthly reporting in accordance with the SBA’s Standard Operating Procedure.
Prepare monthly investor reporting and remit funds timely.
Complete loan reconciliations between the SBA and bank and clear exceptions timely.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
NOTE: This role is hybrid based in St. Petersburg, FL. It is required to be in office at certain times of the month determined by management.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years of loan operations or accounting experience required
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers
Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform independently in setting objectives and determining how to proceed.
Proven analytic and critical thinking skills
Advanced understanding of commercial loan structures.
Knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures (preferred).
Ability to research complex issues
Working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
