Summary
The Staff Accountant role is a cross-functional role that will serve the Corporate Finance team in a variety of accounting and finance activities including, but not limited to, basic month-end close tasks, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journal entries. This role will work closely with the larger finance team and will collaborate with various departments.
This role will require a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and clear communication with internal and external parties. In addition, the role requires the ability to work independently and with multiple departments. This role will be hybrid, and will require 2 days in the office per week.
This position will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and will have opportunities for VP and C-suite exposure.
Essential Functions of the job:
Prepare monthly prepaid expense journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation journal entries and schedules
Prepare monthly intangible asset amortization journal entries and schedules
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and associated journal entries
Deposit checks and record cash posting
Assist with other month-end close tasks
Qualifications
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
NetSuite experience is a plus, but not needed, strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, intermediate/advanced formula writing, etc)
Attention to detail and quality
Strong organization and time management skills; effectively handle multiple projects
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Aptitude for working independently and within a team in a collaborative environment
Willingness to think creatively and offer new solutions
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
High School Diploma required
Associates or higher in Accounting and/or relevant field of study preferred
Working Environment:
Hybrid work environment – 2 days in office required per week
