Job Description
You will be joining a CPA firm that stands out amongst the ‘stereotypical’ CPA firms and offers some of the best hours and flexibility of firms that I partner with.
Not only will you be encouraged to grow professionally and develop your skills to achieve your career ambitions, you will be looking at working a maximum of 50 hours per week during tax season, early finish on Fridays in December, and during some off-season months, you will only work 36 hours but get paid 40.
The leadership team are serious about changing the environment for public accountants to enjoy their job all year round and not burn out their people, so there’s no need for those 80+ hour weeks anymore.
With such a fantastic culture, staff retention is high, and many employee’s average time with the firm is 10 years or more.
As Tax Manager, you will have a leadership position at the firm. You will have extensive experience reviewing S-Corps and C-Corps returns and experience working with construction& real estate, healthcare, not-for-profits, M&D and investment partnerships. Cross-border experience and experience with CCH Axcess, Engagement, XCM, and Prosystems is also a plus.
The firm is a mid-sized CPA firm based in Buffalo, New York. This is a fully remote position, but they do require employees to spend their first 1-2 weeks in the Buffalo office, to meet the team and carry out some initial training. The firm covers all travel costs. You’ll get great benefits too, including insurance, 401k and mental well-being supported sessions.
