About the Role
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Check prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and physician instructions
Identify and resolve prescribing, formulary, and therapeutic issues, collaborating proactively with healthcare providers to recommend formulary substitutions when deemed appropriate
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Provide prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to maintain high quality assurance practices
Provide counseling and drug-related information to customers for both prescription and over-the-counter items
Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and medication-related questions
Requirements:
Located in the U.S.A.
New Jersey Technician Registration required - active and in good standing.
You have 1-2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer inquiries.
You are resourceful, optimistic, creative, and enjoy helping your team.
You understand how to create a great customer experience and can analyze and improve pharmacy processes.
