Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the retail pharmacy technician is responsible for performing tasks involved in the preparation and distribution of medications checked by a licensed Pharmacist while under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Four [4] years at an external pharmacy experience or two [2] years of experience at an OU Health Pharmacy required.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Active permit as a Pharmacy Technician by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy within 6 weeks after placement. National Pharmacy Technician Certification required. BLS certification and Immunization Administration Certificate preferred. If technician holds an Immunization Administration Certification, BLS certification will be required.
