Position Summary: The Revenue Cycle Analyst reports to the VP of Revenue Cycle. Under general supervision, the Revenue Cycle Analyst collaborates with systems analysts, accountants and greater Information Solutions team members, Quality team members, stakeholders, and leaders across the enterprise to support decision making, strategy, performance improvement, and other key operational goals through valid, relevant, and quality decision support reports, dashboards, business plans and other business intelligence tools. This role assists in the development and maintenance of analytical resources for the organization to support leadership in strategic decision making and ongoing optimization of organizational performance. This position’s work environment is hybrid/remote.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize available systems and methodologies to provide decision support for the organization’s business planning and analysis requirements. This would include information about costs of hospital services, product line profitability, department productivity, as well as quality metrics and benchmarks, denial data analysis, and payer performance.
• Assist in projects involving analytics to improve and optimize organizational performance.
o Maintain documentation and progress updates for project planning and tracking.
o Assist team members to identify and gather detailed business requirements.
o Maintain timely communication and collaboration with other team members, leadership, and customers.
• Work closely with IS/IT resources to facilitate data analytics to support system enhancements.
• High Quality Customer Service: Provide consistent high quality customer service for all projects, initiatives and requests from stakeholders.
o Provide timely and professional communications throughout the request-to-delivery production cycle.
o Ensure deliverables are well-tested, accurate, and reliable.
o Function in a thoughtful consultative approach that ensures effectiveness of requirements gathering, integration of actively-solicited intermediate feedback during development, and solutions that assist our stakeholders in accomplishing the ultimate goals underlying their request.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration or a closely related field (accounting, information systems). Certified Public Accountants with at least 4 years of healthcare experience or individuals with a Masters degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field with at least 2 years of demonstrated financial analysis experience would be considered.
