Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The Director of Procurement Contracting oversees the procurement contracting efforts for a large, multi-hospital Academic health system. This role manages high-value, complex contracts, leads negotiations with key suppliers, and ensures that all agreements align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Incumbent is responsible for managing and directing a large, complex department serving organization-wide program(s), to include total aggregated contract spend of over $1B annually and ensures achievement that contributes to the health system's strategic, operational, and financial success. Provides strategic guidance in setting policies and procedures related to functions. Provides broad guidance and policy advice to department management and senior leadership regarding aspects of contract administration, and receives guidance as required from the Office of General Counsel. Ensures contract administration includes review of potential risk, consequences of policies and legislation, and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and policies. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of the department, division, or organization. Involves structuring, and / or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with contractors, customers and / or partners. Collaborates with internal partners as well as legal staff to structure contracts. Professional contracting services are provided in compliance with all policies and procedures. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
