SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – Nashua, NH
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant position is a vital member of the Accounting Office, reporting to the Accounting Manager working collaboratively with members within the Finance Division, as well as other members to perform day-to-day functions and achieve the strategic goals of the division.
This position will perform accounting functions, including, but not limited to, management and reporting of the general fund and GASB, the preparation of journal entries, assisting with the annual financial statement audit, performing fund/account analysis, P-card maintenance, reconciliations of various general ledger accounts and period-end closing procedures by both policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles.
Position Requirements
Bachelor degree with an emphasis on accounting or related discipline is required.
Demonstrated relevant experience is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Word is required.
Demonstrated good organizational, communication, and writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Committed to team efforts and coalition building.
Analytical and inquisitive.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Experience in non-profit fund accounting preferred.
Knowledge of Lawson and Munis is preferred.
