The Data & Information Management (D&IM) division provides common and shared data and analytics services that are utilized campus wide, including: database administration, data platform management, data integration, data quality management, business intelligence and analytics applications.
Under the direction of the Data Warehouse ETL Manager, the Cloud Data Platform Architect applies advanced IT architecture concepts and campus / medical center / OP or community-specific objectives to resolve highly complex issues with significant impact on the organization. Regularly works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Effectively selects criteria for evaluating results.
As a key member of the Data & Information Management division in OIT, the incumbent is responsible for the implementation and administration of scalable, cloud-based data and analytics platforms across the UCI data ecosystem, leveraging a variety of DataOps, data warehousing and system administration methodologies and disciplines.
Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of data infrastructure automation, data ops tools and other related data infrastructure management solutions.
