HIM DATA INTEGRITY ANALYST I

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Associates Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, health information technology or similar discipline preferred. Experience Minimum 1 year related experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Basic understanding of data integrity and medical records management concepts required. Analytical thinking for effective problem determination and resolution. Ability to work independently and as a team, while providing timely and responsive services. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to employee/patient and hospital information. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting with a light amount of physical work, may lift, carry, push or pull records/boxes weighing up to 10 pounds. Normal hospital environment. JOB SUMMARY The Data Integrity Analyst I is an entry level analyst position who works closely with the HIM Analyst team and acts as point person for HIM applications for a multi-entity environment including over 25 facilities and takes call for medical records urgent issues after hours, so must have access to internet from home. This team uses various reports and work queues to analyze patient records for completeness, communicates with providers regarding deficiencies, perform merges and chart corrections to maintain the integrity of the patient records. The team processes requests for access to HIM applications, such as the Patient Portal, HIM Modules and individual patient requests.
