Position Overview::
The Human Resources Coordinator is essential to the business and HR team. This position supports Human Capital Management initiatives under the direction of the HR leader and acts in harmony with overall HR strategies. The role will operate within multiple HR competencies that include talent acquisition, organizational development, benefits administration, leadership development, employee relations, compensation and talent management. This role also provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
What you will do::
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Benefits Administration: update benefit changes in HR/payroll systems, maintain employee benefit files, and keep employees informed about benefits. Process COBRA notifications. Administer employee leaves of absence in ADP and inform employees on process to file short term disability claims.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Completes, verifies and maintains I-9 forms as required per state and federal requirements.
- Attends and participates in investigative matters as designated and assists with new-employee background checks.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Perform routine administrative/clerical duties in support of the business and HR directives.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR leader.
- Interacts with employees while on production/manufacturing floor
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Skills for Success::
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2-3 years related HR experience or any other combination of education and/or experience necessary to complete essential functions of the position.
Preferred Education and experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certified
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
