Qualifications Summary: Position requires strong team leadership skills, human resources management, strong organizational, interpersonal and customer relations skills.  Position requires planning, and allocating financial, physical, and human resources.  Position requires compliance with regulatory agencies, strong knowledge base of AWHONN/ ACOG/AAP standards, and promotion of Baptist Health mission, vision and values.  Position requires strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, experience in organizational change, proven track record of successful performance, and demonstrated effective utilization of nursing process.  Position also requires obtaining, managing, and using information to improve patient outcomes and individual and hospital performance in patient care, governance, management and support processes. Qualifications - External BSN or Bachelor’s in HealthCare Administration, MSN/MBA/MHA preferred. • State of Alabama or MSL RN Licensure. • Minimum of five (5) years as a manager, three (3) of which have been in a    maternal child clinical practice. • Demonstrates effective leadership qualities, sound judgement and good       interpersonal relationships. • Progressive experience in nursing and nursing management with     demonstrated competence in nursing practice, management and leadership   roles required • Evidence of commitment to continuing education. American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines -- Gold Plus Heart Failure Quality Achievement Award

The recognition signifies that Baptist South has reached an aggressive goal of treating heart failure patients with 85 percent compliance for at least 24 months to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology secondary prevention guidelines for heart failure patients.

American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines -- Silver Quality Achievement Award

The award recognizes Baptist South’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations.

Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care by Blue Cross Blue Shield

This distinction was given after it was determined that Baptist Medical Center South met criteria for selection. Blue Distinction Centers for Cardiac Care provide a full range of cardiac services, including inpatient cardiac care, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass graft surgery and percutaneous coronary interventions. Facilities must also be fully accredited by The Joint Commission.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield created the nationwide Blue Distinction program with two goals in mind--first to engage consumers to make more informed healthcare choices and second to work with providers to improve quality outcomes and affordability.
