The Marketing team at PlanSource develops compelling messaging and campaigns that fuel our Go-to-Market team with everything they need to inspire our customers and partners to choose PlanSource. We work with many teams across the organization including sales, product, operations and more to increase demand of our technology through webinars, events, videos, campaigns, product launches and other self-service thought leadership tools and resources.

 

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven PARTNER MARKETING MANAGER who will be responsible for creating marketing campaigns with partners that help employers and brokers make an educated decision on their benefits administration provider. This individual will play an integral role, spearheading go-to-market strategies for all partnerships—Insurance Carriers (Boost), Partner Marketplace vendors, HCM and Resellers. This person will be responsible for educating internal and external sales teams about the value of partnerships, how it works, and why customers and brokers should choose it. This individual will live and breathe partner marketing and always be thinking of creative ways to grow the relationships. 

About You:

MISSION

Own marketing for key partnerships from launch, training, external marketing, demand and driving revenue. Responsible for creating content that helps employers and brokers make an educated decision on their technology. Collaborate with external partners to showcase content and reach our target audience to drive revenue. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead demand generation activities for partner channels (HCM, Reseller, Carrier).
  • Actively engage in all partner events—virtual and in-person—to provide guidance, coaching and support to the partner community.
  • Develop and execute robust sales playbooks aimed at driving new sales across multiple channels (Reseller, HCM, Direct), bolstered by comprehensive marketing campaign backing.
  • Work closely with partners to develop joint marketing and sales enablement plans that tie to revenue goals.
  • Build and create marketing collateral for various partners such as webpages, product and partnership one pagers, case studies, testimonials, and references to increase demand gen for partners.
  • Run reports and track lead generation for partners to ensure success.
  • Maintain quality relationships with internal and external partner stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with relationship owner to enable sales and partner teams on training needs.
  • Train PlanSource sales team and key departments to ensure proper education of the partner solution and value proposition.
  • Think innovatively about new ways to market partner programs to our brokers and customers and track success.
  • Collaborate with partners and market leaders for feedback and market insights
  • Ensure partners are informed of the relevant new product releases and timelines
  • Work closely with partners to develop joint marketing and sales enablement plans that tie to revenue goals.
  • Work closely with the executive, product, technology, sales, marketing, and legal teams to launch new partnerships and ensure that partnership strategy is in line with business initiatives throughout the organization.

 

ROLE-BASED COMPETENCIES

The desired candidatemust:

  • Have industry experience with human capital management or insurance carrier experience partnering with or marketing benefits administration software.
  • Have a proven track record creating content that drives demand and exposure to partnerships.
  • Strong desire to build relationships that drive growth and revenue for PlanSource and partners.

The desired candidate should:

  • Have demonstrated initiative, creativity, ability to drive results.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, self-reliance and autonomy, with the judgment to know when to take the lead, when to involve others, and how to set priorities of the work functions assigned.
  • Detail oriented and collaborative personality to work well with external stakeholders as well as customers and brokers.
  • Ability to travel about 15-25%.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

In addition to the below, responsibilities for this role will be in service of the Outcomes listed above

  • The candidate must grasp the focus that PlanSource is putting on the customer experience and how our partnerships will impact our go-to-market strategy.
  • This role will need to partner with many internal and external leaders to design and execute marketing strategy in coordination and partnerships with existing teams and structures.
  • This role will need to build strong partnerships with the assigned partner(s), other such leaders inside the PlanSource organization, internal operations teams, product and software development teams, sales teams and PlanSource distributors.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s in marketing, communications or related field and / or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the benefits technology industry.
  • Experience working directly with large national insurance carriers or HCM providers.
  • 5 years of marketing, communications, partner management or similar experience.
  • Track-record of meeting or exceed performance targets and goals.
