Job Description

Overview:

The Accounting Clerk assists and performs duties and assignments in the areas of General Accounting: General Ledger and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare/Send invoices within a timely manner after customer’s departure.
  • Post advance deposits.
  • Prepare journal entry for hotel account receivables activity.
  • Cover/Assist Accounts Payable Coordinator with tasks and responsibilities for accounts payable.
  • Address/Research credit card disputes and inquiries.
  • Assist Staff Accountant with tasks and responsibilities for general accounting.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and customer financial information.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Display strong work ethic and teamwork.
  • Ability to operate 10-key calculator.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and one year experience in accounting.
  • Valid gaming permit by the state.
Posted Salary Range: USD $14.50 - USD $16.50 /Hr.
