Position Title: Resident Care Director
Reports To: Executive Director

Department: Department Head / Nursing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $110-115 
Location: On site, Burlington MA

Schedule: M-F

  • Work every 7th-8th weekend as manager on duty (Days off during the week)

Job Summary:
The Resident Care Director is responsible for the ongoing operations of the nursing department. He/she assists and supports the translation of the assisted living philosophy into nursing practice by participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care delivery system within the assisted living community.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of all Resident assessments.
  • Monitors the progress and effectiveness of a residents’ service plan through written progress notes and verbal communication with the residents and associates.
  • Meets regularly with the supportive services, social services, resident and/family member or responsible party to evaluate the service needs.
  • Monitors and maintains compliance with all state regulations.
  • Implements and monitors training programs and in-services for all associates in accordance with company and state assisted living regulations.
  • Implements services during resident move-in, helps residents with orientation to the assisted living community/staff and with their overall adjustment to the assisted living community.
  • Works collaboratively with all other departments to assure delivery of resident related services.
  • Operates/maintains department within budgetary guidelines.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families, and visitors.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse completed State-required training
  • Requires the ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials and the public
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must meet all State health requirements
  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must pass criminal background check.
