MaineGeneral Medical Center was recognized by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®. This achievement shows our commitment to providing the right care in the right way and at the right time – because it’s the right thing to do for our patients.

For the second year in a row, MaineGeneral Health is one of 20 health organizations -- out of 500 nationwide -- to receive an Excellence in Engagement Award from The Advisory Board for achieving high employee engagement numbers on our annual employee engagement survey. This award recognizes staff commitment to giving the very best care and service to patients, families and their colleagues.

In its annual rankings of the nation’s best hospitals, U.S. News & World Report ranks MaineGeneral Medical Center as the third-best hospital in Maine.

MaineGeneral scored number one overall in the Anthem Quality Insight’s Incentive Program, which ranks quality and safety of patient care. This program is administered in four states – Colorado, Connecticut, Maine and Wisconsin – and MaineGeneral came out on top!
